The Honey Sliders are back at the Imperial Hotel Eumundi and they’re bringing us the soundtrack to classic cult movie Easy Rider.
Join us in The Brewery on Saturday 20 March for an event that will see two sets of music from this great Brisbane band, played alongside footage from the legendary 1969 film.
Featuring the music of Steppenwolf, Jimi Hendrix, The Byrds, The Band, Procol Harum and more, the Easy Rider soundtrack is easily the coolest collection of counter-culture rock ‘n’ roll the world has ever seen – and that’s before even mentioning the Harley Davison bikes, the leather jackets, the drugs, the vast open roads, and the enduring sense of freedom that this film still inspires.
And don’t we all need to feel a little sense of freedom right now?
The Honey Sliders are the Brisbane-based country/rock/soul outfit led by singer/songwriter Danny Widdicombe (The Wilson Pickers, The Go-Betweens, Bernard Fanning and more). With a deep love of retro music, The Honey Sliders have wowed Queensland audiences with their annual concept shows recreating classic albums. Since 2013 they have performed Hendrix’s ‘Axis: Bold as Love’, Neil Young’s ‘On the Beach’, The Band’s ‘The Last Waltz’ (featuring Bernard Fanning, Troy Cassar-Daley, Jeff Lang and more), The Stones’ ‘Sticky Fingers’, The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’, and Cream’s ‘Disraeli Gears’ - all to sold-out audiences.
The Honey Sliders are Danny Widdicombe (guitar / vocals), Dan Mansfield (keys / vocals), Chris Bosley (bass) and Ben Carstens (drums / vocals).

To comply with Covid-safe practices, there is LIMITED seating at this event. Seating is non-allocated - first come, first served. There will be plenty of standing room.
