Holy Holy have just released their fourth studio album Hello My Beautiful World, to extensive critical acclaim including 4 star reviews from NME, Rolling Stone and the AU Review, along with being triple j Feature Album the week of release. Recorded in a series of modest studios and spare rooms in Tasmania and Victoria, the album features top 5 triple j most-played tracks 'How You Been', 'Port Rd' and 'The Aftergone. Built upon a foundation of electronic beats and rolling synths, the record combines lush string arrangements, May-esque guitar riffs and chanted vocals to produce a heady and persuasive mix. It moves fluidly through a collection of feverish moods and atmospheres, unfolding unpredictably and building to a series of fierce and manic highs. It’s a dense and ambitious record suited to close and repeated listening.
Angie McMahon is the twenty-something heroine you can relate to and root for; the star of her honest songs about life, love, and comfort food! Having filled some of Australia’s most revered venues, her debut album Salt (which debuted at #5 on the ARIA Charts, #1 on the Australian ARIA charts and #1 on the Vinyl ARIA Charts) is stocked with the raw, honest anthems – like ‘Slow Mover’, ‘Missing Me’, and ‘Pasta’ – that have enraptured fans, charts, media, and the global music community. Drawing inspiration from Bruce Springsteen, Lianne La Havas and Big Thief, her music ranges from punchy rock to whispering ballads, but hums with the humanity and authenticity of a true original. Angie has sold out every headline Australian show she has played to date. She is also the successful recipient of the Josh Pyke Partnership, triple j's Unearthed Laneway Festival, NLMA 'Voice of the Year', SXSW Grulke Prize, AIR Awards 'Best Rock Album' and has had two certified Gold accredited singles in 'Slow Mover' and 'Missing Me'.
